What has been your favourite part of your health and fitness journey so far?

Discovering muscles and stamina. I love that I am now fit enough I can move heavy weights, go for runs with friends at a drop of a hat, enjoy keeping up with my kids and random bike adventures. I love my active life. Skinny with no energy was a silly goal.

Reflecting back what do you think has been the biggest change in your personal journey since joining the gym?

My body composition has changed so much in the past few years and I love it however the biggest growth for me has been in my confidence and personality shift. I am a far more outspoken and an independent person than I was at the start of this journey.

Can you give any words of advice/encouragement to any mums who are thinking of joining?

It’s hard when you have taken a step back from our careers to justify the expense on yourself or feel that you are taking from your family. The truth is giving your self that time to work on yourself you have so much more energy and engagement to give back to the people you love as well as the ability to keep up with them as they grow.

Nicky’s service with at the bar has been the best investment I have put into myself and I have absolutely loved the journey along the way as well as will keep loving the journey going forward. She does such an amazing job and couldn’t be more supportive if she tried.
