From a mum who re discovered her spark and wants to help others find theirs

A country girl who grew up in a small town near the Grampians. I am the youngest of 5. My older brother turned me into the younger brother he was never given and thus I was the only girl in the local cricket team, I’ve played soccer, netball, gave girls footy a crack, gymnastics- anything that was available I’ve given it a go.

I’ve never been one to shy away from trying something new- youngest sibling confidence delusion is maybe a real thing.

Fast forward to my adult years - I met my now husband Daniel in 2010

We had our first daughter Olivia in 2014 and gave her a baby sister Sophie in 2016. Growing up I was always sporty, energetic, outspoken, confident, extroverted BUT after having a child so young myself I completely lost my identity and spark but found myself sitting 20kgs heavier and feeling incredibly self conscious.

Along the years I tried all the fad diets, diet shakes, crushed my soul with HIIT sessions that I fricken hated and was stuck in a vicious cycle.

UNTIL I found Strength training in late 2016. I stopped trying to starve myself with diet shakes and learnt how to fuel my body and train to get stronger, faster, fitter and become my most confident version of myself.

2019 we welcomed our third daughter Hannah and began my journey of study so I could help other mums find their spark again like I had.

At The Bar Fitness started as Heathcote Personal Training in May 2021. Since starting this business I have met and been inspired by so many locals in Heathcote who want to work on improving themselves. What an amazing position I have found myself in.

After reaching capacity quickly in our old location we rebranded into At The Bar Fitness and started working on expanding in Jan 2022.

I am now thrilled to be able to expand this community even further and meet more amazing humans in Heathcote. Our beautiful small town is so ready for this and I cannot wait to be the one to bring it to you all.

“Your never too old. Starting again at 85 I’m still feeling the benefits of coming back. I’ve seen an increase in my energy since being back for over a year.”
